Livorno, in the Tuscan region of Italy, is ideally located for exploring some of the most beautiful cities in Italy, including Florence. Florence is most noted as the birthplace of the Renaissance. Highlights include impressive piazzas and an incomparable 15th-century skyline – sure to offer charm and an unforgettable experience to any visitor.
As much as we would have like too, we missed going to this part of town, such a long drive.
Instead we chose to see "The Leaning Tower and Tuscan wines". Very good decision:)it turned out to be..
Wondering around the Field of Miracles, exploring the magnificent sites , the Leaning Tower and discover Pisaâs superb black and white marble enhanced Duomo, the cathedral.
The Tuscan hills are home to some of the finest wines in the world, including Chianti. We Enjoyed a scenic ride through the Italian wine country to visit a famous wine producer, tour the winery, and learn how Tuscan wines are created.
Included in the tour was a typical Italian lunch in a privileged setting and sampled a variety of house wines and olive oil. Ending our meal with a taste of Vin Santo - a sweet dessert wine. After a day filled with the aromas and tastes of Tuscany, we took in more beautiful scenery during the return drive to Livorno
