So we´re in Rio ladies and gentlemen.

Flights were long and boring but the details are not vital! Actually managed to get to the hostel without many hiccups, we didn´t give in and jump in a taxi...naturally enough we ended up wandering the streets a little bit but nothing hectic! The only problem was that I was without my bags!!! Arggggh! All my strategic packing and the flipping thing doesn´t arrive! And guess what...I didn´t freak out! Well not much anyway! It must be true what they say....travelling does mature you!!! Still awaiting its arrival but the way I´m looking at it is....this is my bad karma for the trip and if this is the worst that happens then how bad!

Saturday was a blurr...we were unnaturally tired so it was enough work in itslef to keep oursleves awake, hence not much was done! Sunday we had planned to do a city tour and see most of the sites but the weather has been very poor here....preety much the same as at home, except worse! Down poors!!! We just wandered arounf copacabana and went to a local hippie market. Last night we just sat around the hostel and had a few drinks with everyone. Theres a really nice vibe about.

Todaty the weather wasn´t much different byt headed for Sugar Loaf anyway. Luck shone on us for once and the weahter cleared briefly while at the top and the views across Rio were unreal! Plan is get up tomorrow and get the rest of the sightseeing done, hopefully get my bag back and head off on Wedneday. Rio is spectacular but theres not allot to do in the rain so we´re guna head off in search of more fun and games....
