Today we took a tour of the bone yard. This is the place that they bring old outdated aircraft, some to be cut up and some for parts. There are a few that they put in mothball in case they need to put them back in service. We were told that they could have these aircraft up and flying in 2 days.
There are around 5000 aircraft in the bone yard, all types, from B-52 to F 16. Old Air Force 1 and Marine 1 from bygone days.
Went and saw the Diamond Backs and the Anahime Angles play the Diamond Backs won 9 to 8. The other game was the Diamond Backs and the White Soxs ,the Diamond backs won that on 4 to 2. Bothe of the games were good, the weather was great a light breeze and not to warm.
We left Tuccson and traveled to Benson on the 10th. We are staying at Benson I 10 RV park. We will be here for a week.

took a ride today we were heading to Bisbee. We stopped at Kartchner Caverns State Park to see if they had any openings for the tour of the Big room. We got lucky and we got tickets for the 4:15 tour.
We went on the tour of the Big Room, it was spectaular. The tour lasted 1 1/2 hour, it could have lasted a lot longer there is so much to see.
There is another tour but it isn't near as good as the Big Room. That is what I have been told.
Tomorrow is another day so we will see what it holds.

We headed South to finish the trip that we had started yesterday. Went to Sierra Vista and ten went on to Bisbee. Took the new road into town. Well maybe not real new it was built in the 50's. We stoped at a musuemand went in to view what the mining town was like in the 1800. It was very interesting. Up stairs they have a display of some of the crystal formation that came out of the mine. This display was at the smisthsonion in Washington. It hasn't been back very long. We took a walk around town and looked in some of the shops there. Then we took the old road over the mountian out of town.

Today we went to the Chiricahua National Mounment. It was a good trip the rock formations were quit something check out the photos. We went to the far-away house, an old homestead. Then to Stafford Cabin the oldest homestead around.
On the way back wwe stopped by Fort Bowie, the only problem is it was a 3 mile treck to get to the site. Due to time constraints we didn't go. Maybe next time.
3/15/07 Thurs
Today we decided to take a look at Tombstone, the rough and ready western town to tough to die. It was interesting but more of a tourist town. The main street is dirt and 3 blocks long. Theyb have a stagecoach that will give you a ride down and back with the driver narrating the history of the town, didn't ask what they charged. There are alot of shops along the street that sell mementos and curiors. WE left ther and came back home by way of Serrria Vista. Ont thing about the desert thet aren't many trees to have a picnic so we ate lunch when we got back.
3/16/07 Fri
Today was a rest day about all we did was wash the truck. We are headed to Mesa tomorrow and will be there for about 10 days, from ther we will go to north Phoenix. Don't want to get home untill the weather is nice enough that we won't have to remove every thing out of the coach so it won't freeze.

The morning was a little cool but it warmed up nice to the low 70's. Then tonight the wind came up and it tried to rain, probably just enough to mess up every thing.
We went out looking at a different tow vehicle. The two that we are looking at is the Chevrolet Colorado or the Dodge Dakota. They both come able to tow 4 down with out any modifications. We want 4 doors and it looks like it will have to be 4 WD to do what we want.
