After cooking our dinner (rice and Bolognese) for that evening, we left the hostel and got the 12.40pm train to Budapest. The train left Sofia and got to the Bulgarian border at around 1.45pm. In the compartment next to ours were a group of around 6 Bulgarian men with enough wine and food with them to satisfy a small army. The train ride to Sofia in Bulgaria was pretty uneventful, we went to sleep about an hour after we left Istanbul and woke around 9, jammed for 3 hours and then arrived.
