When we woke up expecting to be at your destination and discovering we were only half way and our feet had gone numb we were distressing. So once we finally got to Budapest we found a hostel about a kilometer from the train station and had an early night.

The next morning feeling slightly more energised we headed out to our new hostel which was less than half the price of the first at 4.5 pound a night. It turned out to be much to our liking, with a student house vibe. The rest of the day was spend snooping around the large roofed market close to the hostel and in the evening we walked up to a large statue on a hill over looking the river that had an excellent view of the city. Later on that evening we watch Donnie Brasco which is not possibly but certainly the best film ever made.

The following day was again spend walking around taking in the city. Coming back to find four fourth year medical student staying at our hostel we headed out to several bars and finally settling on a free club making it back to the hostel at about five a good time was had.

Our final full day in Budapest was spent in the biggest Hungarian bath complex. The thing that wasnt mentioned to us when we were advised to visit the baths was that there is an abundance of old people wearing speedos and bikinis. The complex consisted of about a dozen indoor pools varying in temperature as well as a heated spring pool outside and several saunas. In the evening we sat down to watch the deer hunter. LONG

We woke up to find that Eds bank card and my trousers had been robbed, we suspect be a man from Manchester who only stayed for one night and had left before we had woken. This has left us with a dilemma as we only had that card to use to pay for hostels over the internet.

If you come across a pikey looking traveller from Manchester in his mid twenties wearing a pair of black trousers with a massive hand stitched rip and wearing my glasses give him a dig from us.
