I woke up in the middle of night with a bout of Bali belly, just when I was starting to feel like myself again. That was fun. When I got up at 8am I was alright though, so hopefully that just a 1 time thing.

I had breakfast and bummed around a bit, then eventually got my arse in gear about 9:30am. Saskia and I went for a surf, first we walked down about 500m south of Canggu main beach. We 'surfed' for about half an hour, but it was just awful, so we got out again. From there we walked back up and surfed Canggu main beach. There was very marginally better - pretty big but closing out, but after an hour I was over it, and came back.

After getting back I messed about in the pool and chatted to Gerogie for a while, then we had some lunch here at the Villa. At lunch time we decided we would go off and check out the temple on the little island separated from the cliffs by the sea, which was a short way North up the road.

It didn't take us long to get there, and Georgie miraculously navigated using no map or anything, and we found it on first attempt. I was hoping for a quiet little place were you walk round the cliff to see them temple, but I couldn't have been further from the reality. I was pretty disappointed to find it was majorly touristy, like a more basic market stall version of Kuta. You had to pay to go in and then everyone one from all the stalls is pestering you to buy something from them etc. I guess it was good to go and see it and walk around a bit, but really I was pretty unimpressed by it.

We decided to make a move as the sky was looking pretty threatening, and sure enough after 2 minutes on the way back it was torrential rain, pelting us as we scootered along. It was funny to start with as your still warm etc, but then the rain got so heavy it stung as it hit you! After a while it got lighter and died off, leaving the air much fresher and slightly less humid which is always nice

When we got back I had a shower and just chilled out for a while, sitting around chatting. We had intended to go to dinner at the BBQ at Canggu beach, but just before we were going to leave I started feeling really sick etc, so I let them all go and stayed at the villa.

I went to bed but couldn't sleep, so in the end I got some potato edges to eat and watched a film with some other people. By then I was really tired and felt marginally better, so we went to bed and fell straight to sleep.
