We had a blast! The first ride on the list was Kingda Ka, the tallest and fastest ride in North America. 450 ft and 128 mph. It was awesome! Michael had been talking about riding this for years! The city of brotherly love. Home of the Declaration of Independence. We spent the day sight seeing. The first thing we saw was the liberty bell. Then we walked over to the Declaration House. We then toured Independence Hall. They have the original printed Declaration of Independence which was created July 4th 1776. We stayed in Ocean City, Maryland. We watched the sunset on the beach and played in the the sand. We made it to the Angler at 7:30 in the morning. It was a beautiful day. The boat captain had a fishing contest for anyone who wanted to enter. Robert won! He walked away with $80. We were catching fish 2 at a time. We couldn't keep many of them though. We went to Fort Story in Virginia Beach to see the first lighthouse built in America. We had to get through security to get on the base 1st. They searched our car & made us get out. We were only allowed to go to this one spot. The lighthouse was neat. Very old, but in good condition. There is a newer lighthouse right next to it that is currently in service.

We lived in Virginia for four years, 2000 through the end of 2003. All of our kids were born here. We really enjoyed our life in this city. It's 90 minutes from the beach, 90 minutes from Washington DC and 90 minutes from the mountains. The only thing missing was our extended family. They were 8 hrs away.
