New years eve

**Disclaimer: This is a belated entry of the accounts of new years eve. Please beware that due to the alcohol consumption that night and the length of time between the actual events and this blog, that the account is incredibly vague, and maybe inaccurate. This is the story as I think I remember it.**

Preparation and Prologue

Before I can begin on new years eve, I have to mention a few things. Kim's eldest sister, Bec, is currently living in london with her partner. She was getting married on the 4th of January, and Kim was going to London for it. He got there on the 28th of December. Now we discussed options, as Sara and I were considering going to London for new years eve, but after working out costs for 2 people in london for a few nights, plus flights, we decided to help pay for kims flight over here. So he arrived on the 29th of december and stayed with the iversens over new years before heading back to for the buck's night and the wedding.

It started out when Sara's dad took Kim and I out to get fire works. They are sold every where over new years, and we went to a nursary/florist store to select and pay for what we wanted. We took ages to decide what we wanted, not knowing what each did or what was good value. We both still stood there, looking around bright eyed with grins from ear to ear. Like kids in a HUGE candy store with their weekly allowance. Finally we selected what we thought was good, and Mr Iversen selected what he wanted and then went outside to collect them after paying for them at the register. The fire works are stored in a truck container out in the car park, apparently for safety reasons. We gave the guy our orders and he gave us the packeted fire works. This was the start of an awesome night... I could feel it.

New years eve beginning.

The night started just before 6pm, when Sara's next door neighbours came around for dinner. Apparently it is a long tradition between her parents and the neighbours and this year it was the Iversen's turn to host the dinner. Sara's friend, Anne-marie then came around as well. Everyone came over in time for champaigne to be served and to gather around the tv for 6pm. Each year, at this time, the queen of Denmark addresses the nation with a long, inspirational speech. Unfortunately neiher kim or I knew what she was saying, so we stood to one side watching it, and drinking our champaigne quietly.

After the toast and speech, we sat around drinking more champaigne until dinner was ready. We all sat around the table.

We opened the bottles of vodka and played danish trivial pursuit. Sara and I Vs Kim and Anne-Marie
We went outside and lit fire works and drank some more
afterwards we watched something on the tv that counted down to new yrs.

caught a bus to a party. It was fun, alcohol was alot, but cheap, and didnt leave til around 3-330am.
We were waiting at a bus stop when drugged up teenagers were aggresive before leaving.
the bus never showed up.
while waiting for the bus it 'snowed' for the first time, and very lightly.
we gave up and caught a taxi home
overall a really cool night.
