Hello everyone!!! Slack already in the 1st week! but moments pass me by and so tired at night so here is a recap on the last couple of days......
Monday 28/6 Woke up at Yelarbon - ice on everything -grass very crunchy! Not a big day driving today.... drove from Yelarbon, stopped at Goondiwindi for supplies... saw lots of animals! a whole mob of roos hopped past the car 20 metres ahead! Had to slow down and stop to let them go by.!!! Near missed an echidna and a fox. A few straying emus too! Stopped at St George by the river for lunch and a few repairs on the brake lights!!!
Stayed outside of Mitchell at the Neil Turner Weir parking area! was fab and many people there. Loos were there too though they were out of order! so fun looking for a bush. Jack and Liam having a ball ! played a spot of cricket and soccer while Dave and I were setting up. Early night to bed!

Tuesday 29/6 --- on the road by 740am today!!! quick packup and ready to go....Already done 500km by 2pm!! Really just a big driving day as wanted to try to get to Winton and camp behind the famous North Gregory Hotel.... but alas! Full! tried the van park - Full! so tried this dodgy van park and got one of the 2 last spots! Only $ 15 bucks! cant go wrong. Went to North Gregory Pub for meal but didnt look appertising!!! so went to another pub across the road and was really good! and pubbish! ( i know thats not a word! hahaha )

Today! 30/6 - left Winton at 9am, stopped at McKinlay to have a photo stop at the Outback Hotel, famous for Crocodile Dundee movies! was cool! not much of a town though... Long stretches of road up to the turnoff at Cloncurry.... BORING! Hay Plains are beautiful compared to that!!! lolol Anyway scenery changed once we were heading from Cloncurry to Mount Isa - very scenic with undulating hills and turns,,, buzzed through Mount Isa - no interest there for us at all! and camping outback style with a campfire and damper! Yum!!!
And as it is 830pm... very late for us campers!! Goodnight!
