Hello all. Well we have really enjoyed Broome but after 5 really great days it was time for new territory. The new houses being built there are a bit different as they are all made of corrugated iron because bricks are too expensive to transport up here and they retain to much heat. The other two things that stood out to me were no spoutings or letterboxs, they use P.O.Boxes due to the high rain fall in the wet season. Our visit was timed perfect as the months ...

Hi there. Spent another enjoyable day exploring this lovely town with it's laid back pace of life and great climate. The museum was a highlight with all the towns history on show including movies of the pearl diving days and the WW2 bombing of the town by the Japanese and a huge display of relics from plane parts to diving suits, quite amazing ! Deciding to go for a walk along Cable Beach we were intrigued to see a truck parked on the beach hiring out sun lounge...

Hi guys and hello from Broome. What a lovely town which is modern with no high rises and no traffic lights just roundabouts. Cable beach is an amazing curved very long beach with white sands that get washed with the clean aqua green water of the Indian Ocean which the sun sets in and really creates a postcard picture. Just a quick blog today as it has been a lazy day spent at the Derby wharf not doing a lot, but enjoying the sights meeting people and watching a man catch about a 40lb Mullaway fish which was exciting to see. Chris got the mud crab featured so that is tea taken care of tonight with a salad. Probably going to head to Broome tomorrow after a bit of sightseeing here. Bye for now.

Greetings all. After leaving Kununurra on Friday our first freedom campsite was at Spring Creek after a easy 200 odd k/ms. It's a nice shady camp which is quite popular but we were able to park by the river amongst other campers at a premium site. At night we joined a few others around a big camp fire which again ended up a great night. There are lots of road trains, (a full truck with 3 trailers)on the roads and they must get a little annoyed with us Grey Nomads...
