My next stop is Aberdeen. I was meant to stop for a few hours in Dundee on the way, but they didn't have anywhere to store luggage, and seeing that carrying everything around all day wasn't an option, I just continued north. Aberdeen is the oil city of Scotland, equivalent to Stavanger in Norway. It's called the 'granite city' because all the buildings are, well... granite.
