Hi there family and friends and welcome to our blog on which we will spend the next 5/6 months bragging about the hot sun, clear blue skies and stunning beaches. If you have made it onto our site then this can only mean one thing - you must be a glutton for punishment!

We wanted to find a way to let you all know what we have been up to, to let you know we are safe and sound and that we havent killed each other (yet) and we figured since different time zones could make skype a tad tricky at times, and because we all need a cheeky distraction or two whilst we are at work, it might be nice to brag to you all about our epic trip on here

Planning wise - so far so good! Our newly acquired waredrobe has been washed, ironed and is packed (very important stuff! - thanks mum haha!), our travel injections have been safely infused into our arms and our travel insurance has been purchased! We are officially ready to go. The last minute nerves are starting to kick in as we check in online for our flights (well Danielles's flight anyway, poor Adam has to endure another 3 weeks of work although you can't really feel sorry for him when he has the easiest job in the world). Still there is no turning back now.....

We will miss you all terribly however, we are sure that we will speak to you all regularly over facebook / text messages / skype etc., and for those who have already given us your addresses we hope to send you a few postcards along the way. For those who havent, it isn't too late, just add your address on the comment page or send us a private message on facebook and we will do our best. Also, if anyone has any suggestions on places to visit along the way, or more importantly in Adam's eyes, to eat or sleep please drop us a comment in the message box.

Thank you to everyone who has helped us plan this trip, we really appreciate everything that you have done for us. And remember if anyone gets itchy feet you are always more than welcome to come join us! If you do join us - please bring some soap and washing powder ....... we may have turned into some unpleasant smelly creatures after a few weeks of no hot running water.

So now all that is left to do is to board the plane, order a few bottles of wine from the air hostess and let the adventure begin......
