Ok, today (our Monday) we had a tour of the Duomo di Santa Maria Del Fiore. Our guide was awesome... He was probably in his fifties and was born and raised in Florence. Another day in Florence. We went to Palazzo Pitti for most of the day. It was AMAZING! The palace includes the Boboli gardens, which seem to never end... (see pics) The view from the top of the hill was spectacular. We spent the afternoon exploring Florence and, of course, eating gelato!! Well our plane from Zurich to Florence had some landing gear issues, so we got half way here and had to turn around. All the Fire trucks & equipment were waiting for us when we landed! They put us on another plane and we got here around 11pm (instead of 7). Then we sat outside with an awesome bottle of wine until 1am. We are off to the city to see a few museums, thankfully the jet lag hasn't caught up with us yet... The weather is AMAZING so far! Ciao!
