Had a great nights sleep woke at 7.30 had a Shower. Michael made blueberry pancakes for breakfast with some nice fresh coffee. Left Hel around 4pm on the 24th and sailed through the night around 110 miles to Klaipeda in Lithuania. Lithuania has one of the fastest growing economies in Europe. The population is 3.43 million 83.5 % are Lithuanians 6.7% poles 6.3 % Russians and the remaining Belarus Ukraine Germany and Latvia, 80% are catholic’s then Russian orthodox evangelical lutherans and Baptist. Woke at 7.30 slept well had a shower then breakfast on the boat. Micheal the mate made a lovely omelette. Had final boat briefings then set sail after lunch. Only 15 miles to the next port called Hel ! But not a lot of wind Although managed to get to 6 knots. Moored up a lovely couple of cold beers watching the sun go down then a delicious meal on the boat. A good first chilled day

Left the Uk at 22.10 on Friday 21st June to fly to Poland. Arrived at 01.10 they are an hour ahead. Left the airport and found our hotel which was mins away. We booked this sailing trip around February 2018. However due to being busy at work and having so much time away we had decided not to go, but as we had paid deposit and they couldn’t sell the trip we decided to go.
