Monday We're all packed and ready to go about 9am and head over to fill the water tanks. Sunday Happy Fathers Day Martin. Today is wash day and general clean up. Once the washing is on the line Martin empties the blow up pool and hangs it to dry. Chris and Peter visit again on one of their walks. We get the books and maps out and plan the next leg of the trip. About half of the campsite is empty and we decide that we'll leave tomorrow. Saturday We wake to the second race day and after some discussion last night about whether we'd go we've decided that you can't come all the way to Birdsville without going to both days. Friday The shuttle bus starts at 10.30 and the gates for the races open at 10.45 but the first race isn't till 12.30 so we've decided to do some washing and then go to the races. We get up fairly early to get it on so that it will be dry before we need to leave. Thursday While there have been things on in town each day since Tuesday today is the first day that anything really interested us. We'd also forgotten to buy the tickets to the races yesterday so we walked into town and bought tickets for Friday ($20 each) and decided we'd get the tickets for Saturday at the track.
