Today we woke at 5am to make our way to Perth. It was also Corinne's 23rd bday so we got up early to decorate the bus with baloons and wrap up her pressies. Today we spent the day exploring the Kalbarri National Park. The park covers 186,096 hectares and offers some stunning scenery. The Murchison River Gorge runs through sand plain 150km from the highway to Kalbarri town. It is estimated that the tumblagooda sandstone walls were created 400 million years ago on the tidal flats of an ancient sea. Fossil tracks can be spotted along the river. We woke early in time for the dolphins to arrive at the shoreline for their morning feed. It was then on to Kalbarri National Park for our village homestay for the next 2 nights. We stopped at various points along the way including Eagle Bluff lookout, and Shell beach as well as driving through the town of Denham.
