8 April 12 Arrived in Ko Samui today. Staying in Chaweng!! Checked in to our surprisingly nice hotel (was worried as it cost £5/night, and was called Samui Easy hotel!) 30 March 12 Arrived in Ko Pha Ngan this morning. We are staying in beach huts (Mac Bay) on Ban Tai beach. The location is amazing, although the huts are small, hot and full of sand!! Half moon party tonight in the jungle. Got a fluorescent half moon top from the market, and covered myself in fluorescent paint!! Started the trip to Ko Pha Ngan today. It's going to take about 24 hours to get there!! Stopped off at the hot springs for a dip on route.

Went for a walk over the longest bridge in Thailand today, then visited a couple more temples. In the second temple, the monk was throwing Buddha beads out. I sat down ready to have mine thrown at me, and accidentally got involved in a families service. Had to sit and wait next to them whilst they prayed and gave gifts to the monk!! In the afternoon went bamboo water rafting in the Songgaria River - such fun. Turned into a water fight trying to get everyone off...
