After a top time in Chile/Bolivia and leaving friends behind didn´t know what to expect or what was in store in Peru.. I shouldn´t have hesisated, its been an awe-inspiring adventure!! After leaving a great group of friends behind in New Zealand was wondering how would fare in South America, couldnt have come to a better country than Chile however! It really reminds me of Italy in so many ways from the food to the lifestyle so it felt like a home from home. Two weeks have absolutely flown by in Fiji but it felt like I was there for two months (in a good way of course). Got a great Hawaian style welcome with singing band minus the flowers hehe but what a warm welcome! Noticed straight away how friendly everyone is and all sporting big colgate smiles. Was sad to leave Byron Bay as had a great time there with great people but headed north to the gold coast. Surfers Paradise was a bit perplexing, dunno why its called that as its not paradise and hardly saw any surfers bar the novices having lessons!? The best thing was the cheap Coronas & Buds in bars in town which made it refreshing to drink something other than flaming goon (all gooned out!!).
