On the advice of Xavier, we decided to try this morning, to post our warm clothes home to save carrying them around for the next 2 months. However it turned out to be a right old pain in the a*se!! We bid a sad goodbye to Tonys & the island this morning, as we caught the boat back to the mainland. There was only us 2 & Tony (& the driver) on the boat, so we flew across the water in about 20mins! Up at 5:00am to get picked up, to go & pay & get some water before a 2 hour trip to the Atlantic coast. The last 40mins of which were through the bendiest, upy-downy roads I've ever travelled on, being driven by one of the worst drivers I've ever travelled with! So not pleasant really. Managed a slightly earlier rise today, to move dorms & then bus it over to the Panama Canal. The museum & history of the building of the canal was fascinating & really was an amazing feat of engineering. Especially for the time (1914).
