After me sleeping on the floor & Rach on pretty much just wooden slats due to the mattress being painfully thin, (the worst one to date!), we decided to find somewhere else to stay. Due to Nicaragua being almost as cheap as Bolivia, we settled on a more mid-range hotel rather than a hostel & headed off to see the local places of interest. We visited the old convent (now a museum), one of the multiple churches, strolled down to the lake & then began heading to the market. However, some little b****** on the back of his mates bike, stole my sunglasses off the top of my head. Instinct immediately made me give chase, until I remembered they were on a bike & I was on foot!! Luckily, they were only about £3. We thought we'd head back after this to wind down at the hotel, before heading out again to 'tourist avenue'. Happy Hour was still in full swing along the strip, so who were we to argue & settled in for the evening with a 'few' drinks. The conversation turned to religion when we began chatting to two Americans next to us, who were on a Spanish speaking course. The interesting & different thing about this choice of odd conversation, is that it wasn't pro-religion. The most shocking thing being, that the American guy had done ridiculous amounts of reading on what seemed to be every religion in existence & wasn't sold on any of them. So this actually made it an interesting topic to discuss. We also bumped into our flutist again before our stumble home as the bars began to clear.
