Hey, we stopped for a night in nelson first which has many other spots where Lord of the Rings was filmed. We saw the actual ring that was used, its in a jeweller at nelson then it was off to Greymouth. we stopped in noahs ark here which had all the rooms themed like animals. we had the cat room and by coincindence it had a kitten in there. the room was empty the night before us and it liked the quiet. Hey. we were only in wellington for two nights which meant we had only one day for exploring the nations capital. we went past parliment buildings on the bus and up to the viewpoint from the local mountain/volcanoe were many of the scenes from lord of the Rings were filmed. we went tot he museum which was good as well. then set sail for the south island.

Hello everyone. hope everyone had a great christmas and new year. i spent my time with relatives in Wanganui. Wanganui is a very nice little town which we loved as it wasnt far to the shops or the pond or a farm to visit little kune kune piglets. we spent alot of time in the house just relaxing being in a home and eating home cooked food. When we got to Taupo we decided to go for a walk and ended up doing one of the top ten best one day walks in the world. we walked up Mount doom from Lord of the Rings and across three active volcanoes. it was a lovely day and the views were amazing. im gunna upload the photos. we had a great walk and then off to wanganui for xmas and new year. speak soon.
