Arrive at airport to find plane delayed so only arrived at 10.30pm. Try finding something to eat at that time in Hobart!!!!. Luckily drove out to Sandy Bay and were able to get delicious pizzas at Eureka pizza. Jenny and Paul were staying at Somerset on the Pier so dropped them off and headed out to the Bell's place at Howrah.
Sunday was a beautiful sunny day and we enjoyed a good breakfast at Three Little Ducks at Bellerieve and a walk along the Kangaroo Point track. A drive to the city to pick up the Burrrows and then out to Howrah to see the Bells and hear about their prize winning trip.
An enjoyable afternoon chatting and telling stories and a walk was followed by dinner at The Ball and Chain steak restaurant at Salamanca Place served by our waiter Luke. A couple of people dropped off to sleep while looking at photos of the trip do off to bed.
Monday we all tripped off to MONA The Museum of Old and Modern Art and viewed some very unusual pieces. The building is very impressive and there are some Sidney Nolan works but also very strange objects.
Lunch at the Possum Cafe was tasty but no platypuses were on the riverbank. We headed off to Mt Field National Park and walked up to Russell Falls. After more talking we enjoyed dinner at the Lauderdale Tavern.
Tuesday the Bells headed off to work so we drove up to Opossum Bay and walked along the beach looking at all the shacks and enjoying the sunshine.
Back to Hobart to the wharf to see the Royal Caribbean ship. After a seafood lunch on the pier watching all the visitors and after a stroll along Salamanca Place it was time to head for home.
