After a rest and some Indian snacks and curry we joined the entire school for a belated Diwali Celebration. We each had sparklers and candles and rockets were set off and sky lanterns sent up. Our arrival at Kolkata airport was a much less stressful affair. All our luggage (except the two missing pieces) arrived with us fairly on time around 9am in Kolkata airport. It took us a while to report the missing luggage but seemingly they are close behind us and will be delivered soon. I really didn’t expect to be updating the blog quite so soon after we left Heathrow but our experience at Mumbai airport felt rather more like a chase scene from a well written thriller than a connecting flight. Well we have make it safely through check-in thanks to Rose the Heathrow volunteer who was an absolute Godsend helping us through check-in and baggage drop. No real hiccups at security although the lady did double take when George produced a video projector from his hand luggage.
