A bit of a cooler day today and we took a walk to Blue Lake around half of it. Then went to the sunken garden and cave garden. Umpherston Sinkhole - the sunken garden was very impressive from the top and then once down inside. Cave garden was great and in winter the waterfall flows. It's located dead centre in town under the bank!

Arrived at Mt Gambier to a beautiful site of Blue Lake. Another warm day, 38 degrees so a refreshing swim after we had set up. Had more scenery today from Border town - vineyards! Blue lake is an old volcano and has volcanic debris on the bottom which gives the lake it's vibrant blue colour. Spectacular. It only is this colour from November till march then goes back to a grey colour. It is SA long weekend here so will stay here till Monday. Hoping the heat set...
