Today we went on the favela tour. CITY OF GOD big time! From the bottom of the favela we took a motorbike to the top, this alone was the experience of a lifetime! Mine crashed and nearly hit a bus!!! We checked out...and then checked straight back in!! Decided to go on the hostel tour of Sugarloaf and Christ the Redeemer. It was slightly overcast, but the views were still incredible. The drive up to Christ was through Tijuana which is the largest urban forest in the world. It is some way up!! Chilling out on the Copacabana and then at 6.30pm we we went to the Maracan Stadium for a football match between Botafogo and Cruzeiro. The food and beer were really cheap, I had meat on a stick. We met quite a few people and had several beers!! Botafogo-the team from Rio-surprisingly won 1-0! Second day in Rio. Still jet lagged but went down to the Copa..Copa cobannnaaa! We played football, jumped in the water and chilled for a while. It wasnt overly hot but warm enough for me! The waves were pretty big so I would imagine the surf will be good. In the evening we were pretty shattered. We watched Meet the Fockers and then fell asleep by 10pm!

Arrived in Rio today at 7pm and got the bus to the hostel where Paudie was waiting for me. I had 2 beers and was out cold for the night!
