I'm in Langkawi, Malaysia

just a quick update on my location. I realize it's been a while since I sent a postcard. Have been using more email lately to update all of you. 

Had a change in plans lately.  Well, I wouldn't call it a plan, it was more like a guideline.  In any case, I decided to stay land-bound for a while, and island hop from Railay Beach in Thailand down to Kuala Lumpur where I'll meet up with a friend at her family's house to celebrate Chinese New Year.  Then I'm off to Indonesia on the 26th, and then a quick stop in  Singapore on my way home.  Only 4 weeks left.  Time has flown.   Right now, I've just arrived in Langkawi, Malaysia.  Its a big island, compared to the ones I've been on so far.  The beach is so appealing, but I'm definitely taking advantage of the jungle here in the middle of the island.  Canopy trekking in the tree tops.  Waterfall visits.  A change of scenery.  Oh yah, and one more stop at the beach to sink my toes in the sand.  Over the next 2 weeks I'll stay in Malaysia, visiting Pangkor, Penang and KL. 
 My favorite spot EVER is Railay Beach.  I could have stayed forever there.  Found it to be paradise there.  A splurge really was a treat with a private bungalow, complete with fish pond, front porch, reading nook, sitting room, huge bathroom with soaker tub and outdoor shower.  DELUXE.  I have put Railay on my list of MUST RETURN spots.  I expect my access to computer to be less and less.  So I'll try to catch you up whenever possible.
