We got up to take a ferry to Seattle after a short 8 mile ride to the Bainbridge ferry terminal. It took us an hour to go the distance which was not top bad and we were able to catch a ferry right away. The ride was good and the ferry was even better as we got a short rest while we recovered from our exertions. Now off to Seattle.

We are back from our epic day in Seattle, we had a huge day with bike, ferry, walking, monorail and finally bus to get around. Man am I thankful that the bus has bike carriers on it and we were able to ride the eight miles back to Eagle Tree on a bus instead of having to ride 'em. Eagle Tree RV park outside Poulsbo Washington is a little slice of heaven to the weary traveller. The host of the park is a wonderful person who can tell you all about the area and imparts a feeling that you are in the best of hands. He easily directed us to the best places around town and offered invaluable advice on both transportation and sightseeing. Following the expert directions we enjoyed the town and are looking forward to the ferry to Seattle tomorrow!

A short drive up from Cannon Beach Oregon takes you to Washington and it is only a short drive to Long Beach on the west coast and then on to Bay Center on Willipa Bay the country and the trees change once you cross the bridge at Astoria and at Long Beach the beach hides behind grass covered dunes, but the name Long Beach is honestly descriptive of the beach which seems to stretch for miles without apparent end.
