Ok, so from our photo's it probably doesn't look like we are doing much work?! Right?! So I uploaded just a couple of pics of us working... just to prove it! haha Even though we are working hard (still up everyday at 7am feeding and cleaning out all the animals!) we are definitely playing hard too, as you will see from our latest uploads of photo's... After a few rainy days in Hope, stunting our work here for a while we shot off at the first sign of sunshine to get a well earned rest from the farm and take a drive along the Fraser Canyon to 'Hell's Gate' for the day!! No we haven't been terribly sinful on our tour - 'Hell's Gate' is the name of the narrowest part of the 'Mighty Fraser River' and because of the sudden change in width it causes huge amounts of water to squeeze through this narrow and incredibly...

Well we have been living the farming life for two weeks now and once the chicken fiasco was over we settled into a very comfortable routine here... rising early to feed all the animals and muck them out - nice... and then complete the numerous DIY and maintenance needed on the farm... didn't think i was much good at woodwork at school but it appears i can indeed make a fence?!!! It hasn't all been work, work, work though as I am sure you can see from the photo's...

Arrived in Hope to sweltering hot weather!! The valley was even hotter than the city and even the locals were suprised! Started work with Diana at Riverside Farm as soon as we arrived, no rest for the wicked!! Diana has a small farm right by the Fraser River and from the pictures you will see how spoilt we are to be staying here - it is spectacular. 1st June 2009 and so it begins... and it began in a spectacular way too - an upgrade to Business class made a 91/2 hour journey a much more wonderful experience and was quite a classy way to begin our journey as poor backpackers/volunteers around the world.
