Wednesday 10th April After 5 days at sea we are in the Red Sea and early this morning we berthed at the port of Safaga. Today Russ and I have decided to go on different tours. As Russ didn't want to go on a 13 hour trip he went on a yellow submarine ( cue for a song surely!) to see the fish in the Red Sea. Thursday 11th April Overnight we have sailed north to our second port in Egypt, Sokhna. From the port it is a 90 minute drive into Cairo, through the desert, on the toll road that looks fairly new. There were no hold ups on the toll road but once in Cairo the traffic was manic. They weave in and out of each other, take no notice of lane markings and seldom signal.
