Great you got the photos on, most fun. If NZ is better than Australia we have to go. I loved Australia, absolutely. So many really great things about it. Brilliant holiday, Even tho' not much fishing considering. Cold and rainy here at present although sun has come out today. On-call this weekend and next, so have to go fishing tomorrow evening... Oh well.
See you soon.

I just learned from your Mom that you and Moninca went to see Tamie and family. I am so glad that you did that as it is just nice to know where people live. Luke & Anna are fun too! Ian is fun too when there are just a few around.
I see you are on the south Island of NZ ... I think Alexa was there a year and a half ago with the geology class she was taking at Uni. I hope you are enjoying yourself. Just take care.
Love, Gran

hey u funny hairy animals! Just been reading about your adventures and v jealous. Well you've been missing my fab adventures in hospital, if you haven't heard. Started work as a phlebotomist in dundee at start of hols then got ill - suspected meningitis - so ended up in hospital having CT and lumbar puncture in middle of night, great fun, bet you're upset you didn't have one! Results came back clear, thankfully, but a few weeks later bloods came back glandular fever positive! So now Im recouperating with my parents and hopefully gonna manage a hol before I start back on 12 Sept - sure Skegness would be a nice place to visit! Anyway, given you enough dribble to regail monica and various travelling-buddies you'll have picked up! Enjoy your time and we'll have to catch up when you get back! Love n hugs, xx

We are home! Flight back was fine. Feels cold here although we seem to have missed a warm patch. Had a lovely time in Syndey and Cape Hillsborough. Dad got the fright of his life when we set off to go to the cafe - it was dark and he came across a group of thick kneed curlews about 3 feet tall. They were quite harmless and ran off. We then had 2 possums chasing each other across the restaurant floor and wallabies the next morning hopping through the cafe! Endless wildlife including many spiders! Loved the outdoor internet access. Sydney was fantastic. Good thing Gran and Grandad never spent any time there. What a lovely city.
Hope you and Monica are not freezing in NZ.
Love Mum et al.

Hello my sweet! Hope all's going well! Not much new here with me - still scrubbing pans - but all's good!Thought i'd jus give u a quick update of what i'm getting up to. I'm off to global gathering next week wit the beckster which should be cool, then up to newcastle for a couple of days (but someone - you big pooh - will still be in australia)! Then Norway - so a pretty busy time. I was thinking you could come stay with me in Leamington before you go off to uni else we're never gonna see each other. Also (and more importantly methinks) we still need to finish the alien quadrilology (spelling??!). Take care petal! Lots of love J xxxxx p.s. where is my postcard?? wit the photo of Boyd attached (I'm not obsessed...not really anyway!).

He keeps stressing at the stupidest things, and then taking it out on me and mum! So unfair. Hope ur trips got better since ur sailing and i hope u enjoy all the sheep in NZ, i know i would, hehe. Cs ya in about a month, how weird is that miss upside down. Btw, ive grown a bit more so ull be even more dwarfed :P Have fun matey!

I take it you hit a patch of bad weather on your trip to the barrier reef. When Kate, Grandad, and I went the weather was terrible! Everybody was seasick. Not a lot of fun, but weather did improve. I guess all of you have seen the opera house ... I'll have to do that one day! Grandad and I never stopped there. Did do a night trip into the forest(jungle) to see the night life there. We saw the duckbill p. in the river around 4 p.m. ... I think we were in Cairns.
It is hot and dry dry. I will probably head to Wichita in the next couple of days and stay about a week. Monica, don't forget the green mussels.
