Docked in Santander and took the coach to Ribadesella. The bus station has a quaint little cafe attached when you walk in everyone stops talking and looks at you as you walk to the counter. They all started talking again once we were served. A very intense card game was going on with lots of arm waving, it reminded me a bit of the Post Office! At last we are on our way crossing over to Santander on the Pont Avon ferry. Crossing is smooth thank goodness and we are looking forward to arriving in Spain tomorrow. We are sitting at the prow of the ship (or as Chris calls it the pointey end) enjoying a glass of wine as we gaze at the sea ahead.

We have applied for our Russian visas and now need to go to London for the biometric (fingerprints) part, so a weekend away lovely!
