Pulau Penang - Well that was a much better journey :) aircon bus, toilet breaks and its been raining to :) The four of us managed to find a room at Bannans Hostel right in the centre of the backpacker area and very near to China Town and Little India. Once we had checked in and realised that the net connection was, again, crap. Kat got in touch with Ian and arranged for him to pick us up at 6pm (he would be in a Gold Merc!?!?!) Once we had checked that it was ok for Neil to come to that quickly changed to a 7seater (more seats apparnetly). We started the evening off with a few drinks at the beach bar in Bata Fringuai (thats nowhere near spelt right) and then went to a VERY nice restaurant where we were allowed starters and mains and desserts if we wanted!!!!! Oh My God! thats like a months worth of food in one meal!? Yum, smoked salmon and steak with pepper sauce for me please :oD

Dont think ive been so excited about food in months, oh and the steak, talk about melt in the mouth :oD We deffinatly ate like kings that night! oh, and we knew about it the next day, my body didnt quite know what to do, i didnt sleep well at all and i wasnt hungry for most of the next day :)

We pretty much wasted the first part of the next day faffing around (co-ordinating 3/4 people is not easy at the best of times) We finally got our arses in gear about 3pm broke off from neil for the afternoon and went for a walk around george town. Along the way we found the Peneng Museum, city and town halls and finally Fort Cornwallis (all very educational). Mine and kats feet finally gave in at about 5.30pm when we decided to get a tuk-tuk back to the hostel. Not realising we had pretty much been walking around the same area the ride only took roughly 5mins and we should have saved our whole 1 pound and walked back with coop :) ha ho never mind :)

That evening we decided it was time to head up into Thialand :oD we went for a curry with Neil (very nice) werent quite sure what we ordered but it all came on Bannana leaves was quite spicy but was really really good :) even kat managed to eat it :) Bought our bus/ferry tickets had a final drink with Neil ( not the last im sure) and got a early night....4am start!!!??
