arrived safe in dubai

my air transat flight was ok.. i was so worried about my 4 hour connection at gatwick.. then just as we were taxing this guy passed out so they had to take us back to the terminal to call the paramedics.. i was sure i was going to miss my connection... they took him off but dont know if he died coz they sterilized his seat... at least it wasnt in the air or we would have to land then i would miss my connection

EMIRATES IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!
they have so much legroom and wide seats....
the cabins are scented
they are all female staff wearing the arab headress and hat
its like a cruise ship there is so many staff and the kitchen area is huge
the meals are gourmet not airline and they give menus
i had 800 tv/music channels on my own tv and this was economy
they have two channels for cameras in teh nose of the plane and under the bottom so its a whole new way of watching takeoff/landing seeing all the runway markings and lights
when they turn the lights down there are stars painted in the ceiling
full of english no desis on the flight
this is really a luxury airline and i highly recommend people try them

got to dubai at midnight.. took one hour at passport... then when i stepped out even though its 2am think of the most humid day in toronto and thats how it was 30 degrees.. have to see daylight temperature.. hotel is ok.. full of desis.. i could hear the niteclubs.. i am on the 3 floor but they will move me higher today... didnt see any prozzies in the lobby just more desis.... i dont think they come to this hotel coz its the indians hangout.... i had to sleep with the a/c off coz it was too loud and felt like an ice box.... the local transit airport bus was only one dollar and let me off right outside the hotel.. only the local indians use the buses but i can blend in

its 10 am now.. will wonder around for a bit and do my desert safari this afternoon
heat is not so bad yet if i stick to the shade... says 5 day forecast is still 34
