so i woke up early today... 4am!
my sleep is messed up so i watch tv on mute for a few hours
seen some bullfights and they must go on for hours to kill the bull
and the matadors parading around to the crowds
also some festival where they were doing human towers where they stack people 5 people high and a small child climbs to the top, somtimes the tower collapes
try lookig on youtube

so toledo is 30 minutes on the high speed train
they show the speed and they go upto 300km
toledo was the first capital of muslim spain and lasted longer than zaragoza for maybe 300 years.. it was a multifaith city where christians, jews, and muslims all lived together and was a centre for scientific learning in medicine, astronomy, mathamatics
saw churches and synagogues as well as mosques

its a walled city like quebec city so lots of hill climbing
easy to get lost in the maze of streets, i had 3 maps and still made lots of wrong turns
inside a couple of buildings u can see what clearly was a mosque now a church
the churches and synagogues also follow the same architecture style
pretty dangerous as they have cars in these narrow streets while its overun with tourists
they should close it to traffic

came back to madrid and did the rest of the itinerary
you get the feel of the imperial city capital of the spanish empire
went to the royal palace which is free today for EU citizens but i dont have my passport so i had to pay 8 euros. then the camera police where everywhere so hardly took any pics

managed to goto the bullring which is islamic style again. that tends to be common as barcelona was islamic looking as well.. then found the madrid islamic centre but the rain started coming down so heading home..

had istanbul kebab today.. i was too tired to look for something else and they were playing turkish music so familiar surroundings

tomorrow is 3 hour train ride to seville which is muslim spain proper... whenever i looked on the internet seville and cordoba were danger parts upto 42 degrees.. now everything seems to have dropped over 10 degrees and the rain moved in.. i know how to book train tickets and ask for window seat now too

i need to sleep now
