so this was a lot better than yesterday
i felt so uncomfortable and scared for my safety
this is nothing like turkey
i have gone too so many towns in turkey no prob and they have good bus system

tangiers is a bad combination
the illegals all come here and hide out then come out at night like in the thriller video
plus u get the day trippers from europe who are not accostomed and easy prey
so i locked my wallet in my suitcase and kept the big notes in one pocket the small notes in another one::: look down avoid eye contact, dont respond to anyone

things worked out much better
stayed away from the hotel area and took the taxi right into the medina
found the american legation after a while which is a turn of the century embassy now musuem:::: also found the museum of the kasbah which is like the palaces in spain

followed tour groups at first as hard to navigate the kasbah and was still nervous
overall much safer today and a better experience
ate meat cus cus for lunch which is not like rice and very dry
no clothes for the baby as its all girls stuff but got african drums and a flute
bought an alladin lamp for my solarium

hotel was nice watching the sunset over the bay and listening to the waves outside
they are two hours behind spain but i keep my watch on spain time
bought my ticket for the one hour fast ferry which leaves 930 which is 1130 in spain time so lots of time to get there::: then i take the bus to malaga

no arabic music on tv but crazy soap about israelis bombing palestinians
i;m not going to the caves of hercules which is 20km away
dont want to deal with taxi drivers or tour guides no more
just look at the pictures on the internet much safer
before i get into a taxi i show a 20 dirham note = 3 dollars

heat was ok, will goto hotel and rest up and goto beach for a bit
nobody is really bothering me
they think i am a local
yesterday i was easy prey as i just got off with my luggage and didnt know my way around
i think tangiers is ok for a day trip but come with somebody else
i will still do the rest of morocco marrkesh, menkes, fes, casablanca but with an organized tour group not by myself
