Right..... after a VERY late night of chatting and catching up of many many years of..... well life really; going through a case and a half of beer likely more I lost count but NOT drunk ~ MERRY and i dont know how much biltong and dry woers eaten ~ I was feeling rather worse for wear but all is good!! RIGHT!!!! Its time to be a proper FT (foreign tourist or F'ING Tourist) ha ha!! As known in Zimbabwe. We went to a few places on the first day the first being: First Stop: Mt Eden other wise known in the native language as Maungawhau Domain. It is the highest volcano in Auckland city at 196 metres high. A significant feature is a large, well-preserved crater, some 50 metres deep, contained within the summit cone. The view of the city is just spectacular here, you can see for miles out over the City. It was rather windy and over cast but not cold at all considering its winter!! Wearing shorts and a T-Shirt no jumper and slops (flipflops)!! Happy Days!!! I have added an Albums of each Tikki Tour Stop. Not much else really to talk about here as the pictures explain it all ~ I'm not one to blurb on about the history and all that shizzle as i read the information plaques at the place and learn about it at the time, but remembering it all, ha ha fat chance there, so apologies if you are wanting to read that ~ use the good wise old thing called GOOGLE!! ;o) Second Stop: Mission Bay: we only stopped here briefly to have a walk on the beach (not very sandy) lol and dip my tootsies in the water ( BBBRRRRRRrrrrr it was jeffing freezing man!!) had a little stroll and took in the beauty of everything around me, so peaceful and quiet considering the location and the tourist attractions in a around the bay, just beautiful!! We then headed on to walk through the streets and look for a yes thats right a PUB, to grab a beverage (beer) and a bite to eat. This was lovely and a much needed hair of the dog!! They were going down far too nicely so we decided to head back home and continue the drinking and also plan the next couple of days tikki touring.
