Well where do i start, the trip was going so well until we flew into Sydney and were not able to land due to the fog!! We were diverted to Brisbane told we will re fuel then fly back to Sydney. Well 6 hours later we are still in Brisbane, finally an announcement that we will be boarding in an hour to fly back to Sydney but that we will not be flying on to Christchurch and staying over night in Sydney!! As if this trip has not been long enough its now going to be an extra day!!

Emirates paid for a lush hotel and gave us $50 for dinner and $30 for breakfast.

Immigration and Customs, oh this is where the fun starts!!! NOT!!! Nothing but hassel, had to get a visa to enter Australia, then collect all my luggage, had to unpack half of it and it all xrayed as i had hockey sticks and astro turf boots, which had a smidge of mud on and had to be cleaned. Then on top of it all, i had to pay $100 to bring my DUTY FREE tobacco in!!! NO questions asked. Finally get through and off to the hotel.

The night started and the drinks went down too well!! Made friends with the Bar Manager and ot free and discounted drinks BONUS and offered a job if i go back to Sydney. HA HA!! So 2AM i went to bed and had to be up at 5AM!!!

Head across to the terminal to check in, only to be told to the plane is delayed and will only be boarding at 09:00 not 07:00. GREAT!!! then...... another announcement the plane is further delayed and will only be boarding at 10:00!!! Finally Boarded the plane and we left at 11:00!!!
