Quick update, limited wifi time on the Amtrak train.. Delayed for probably at least 3-4 hours due to engine problems. Started this train trip sunday 3 pm in Penn Staion New York and now ((tuesday 8pm) stranded near Albuquerque, New Mexico. The train hasn't moved for a while and best we know is that two out of three engines stopped working and the third one now has problems pulling all these cars on its own. Mechanics are looking into it as we speak. Earlier today we stopped and delayed because a passenger had to be taken of the train by an ambulance (sounds familiair: Airbus A380 to Montreal?). But no rush, so why worry. Beautiful landscapes I saw rolling by; canyons, plains, meadows, antilopes, villages, very interesting people on the train, nice conversations and intriguing stories. Hopefully can get on the Grand Canyon Tour still tomorrow. If not, well then I just do it on thursday! By now, it is dark and there are so many stars in the sky in this deserted land. Beautiful and inspiring. Hope we will start moving soon, more on that (and the pics) later!
