Well we arrived in Kho Pha-ngan via mini bus, a double decker VIP bus, a normal bus, a ferry and finally a pickup truck which took all of 9 hours door to door so not bad going really. We left Ko Lanta for Rai Lay Beach in Krabi which is famous for it's 'large rock formations and crescent-shaped coves in the emerald sea, a mecca for rock climbers who congregate in these parts to tackle some of the worlds most picturesque climbs' so there you go, Conrad you'd love it! Oh the luxury - we have a large bungalow and a swimming pool!!! We have done absolutely nothing here! Chilled and sunbathed. Met some great people and had a really good time - take a look at the photos it says it all.

Phi Phi town is definitely a young persons place - badly hit by the Tsunami you can see that they are still trying to rebuild it.We only spent 2 days on Phi Phi and 1/2 of one of them was getting there... We spent the first afternoon exploring Phi Phi Town (takes approx 15 mins) and it's beach. The beach has quite a laid back/relaxed vibe with the beach bars playing chilled out music. In the evening we met up with Belinda and Leon for dinner and a game of pool....

We stayed in a really good backpackers hostel in Phuket town which had a really convenient bus stop right outside the door with buses ready to take you to Karon or Patong beach every 30 mins for a mere 25 - 30 baht. On day 1 we visited Karon it's a fairly low key town and the beach is quite nice.
