HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE SIS!
Today is my sisters birthday and also the day I fly to Panama City. I decided to splash out, the flight only takes an hour, the bus takes 12, I may be on a budget but come on.
I have a bit of a hangover today so just walk about really til my flight. The airport is a 5 minute walk away from my hostel and absolutely tiny (see photographs).
Got to my hostel in Panama City about 6pm. Met a crowd from Ireland so sat and had some (acutally a lot) of drinks with them. A few others joined us and we had ourselves a game of poker of which I came second! After this we decided to start playing drinking games, I am beginning to wonder how much I have spent on booze on this trip. Better not to think I think!! We all ended up going out but came back about 1am, I am still tired from the night before. Turning into a bit of a lightweight these days.

Got up and on the suped up bus to go to Panama Viejo. The buses are hilarious here, they look like boy racer buses. Never seen anything quite like it before. But back to the story, asked the bus driver to let me off at the stop as I didn't have a clue where I was going. After sitting on the bus for an hour sweating my ass of, literally, I realised that the idiot had forgotton all about me! Ended up just getting off and wondering around what a nice air conditioned mall. Decided to walk back to the hostel which is one of the worst ideas I have ever had. For those of you who don't know me well - I have no sense of direction whatsoever. Took me about 2 hours when it should have only have taken one. I looked like I had ran a marathon by the time I got back. It must have been about 35 degrees outside and very humid, my clothes were soaking. The cold shower didn't even help and I continued to sweat for a good couple of hours until my body cooled down.
Met a couple of nice girls from OZ (Siobhan and Anna) and a girl from France (Paulina). We are all going to head to the Panama Canal and Zoo tomorrow.

Up early this moring which was a real struggle. We all headed to the canal at 9am, we decided to take a cab which was lucky because as we got there the last boat of the day was just about to leave. We watched the boat leave, did a tour and went to the museum. Nothing too impressive I have to say but I am in Panama so it's a must do.
Went to the zoo after that which really wasn't that brilliant either. There were hardly any animals there!
Got a taxi back and went for a nice lunch before walking back to the hostel.
It was so hot again, this has been by far the warmest place yet.
Going to chill tonight, my flight to Mexico is tomorrow morning - only a couple of glasses of wine for me
