Our stay in Banos has focused more on the outdoor activities than the resort side of things...that will be surprising for some of you! Not to worry, there are several coffee shops and bakeries, which we did visit over the two days.
Our adventures took us on a 3hr bike tour along the waterfall route, which is actually along the highway with a few stops at look outs, and then on some of the old roads that hug the mountains...no worries mum...all good. I did get to ride a bike through my first tunnel! Along the way we zip-lined and later crossed a gorge in a cable car. Our bike tour ended with a hike to Pailon del Diablo or Devil's Cauldron. The hike to the waterfall was light and the views were spectacular.
Today we visited a higher vantage point to check out Tungurahua Volcano, and swing out over the edge of the mountain. Then a downward hike back down to Banos for a quiet evening before heading out in the morning.

Mum WOW! Certainly not the resort side. Frank is rubbing off on you. What a beautiful area! The scenery must have been amazing. Thanks for the update and pics, after the fact. Can't believe you took the gondola let alone swung out over the mountain. Travel safe❣
