The 5th to the 8th of October was spent in siem reap and what an awesome time we had! We checked into 'mad monkeys' and the atmosphere was incredible. I have well and truly lost touch with the blog again, from having loads of fun! After Phnom Penh we headed to a place called sihanoukville were our pals mark and Eric were. We stayed in a beach hut with the beach right on our doorstep. Perfect! We didn't arrive to quite late so becky and I had some food and watched some movies then headed to bed. Today we went for a swim and read our books and ate some food. That was literally everything! At around 8pm we went to a place called 'flicks' which is a little independent movie theatre. Today was going to be a pretty grim day and we knew it. We planned to go and see the killing fields of Cambodia and then s-21 prison. I learnt about this genocide in my state module in year two so I was already pretty fascinated about it. We went down for breakfast and met mark who we travelled with in some parts of Vietnam. New country today!! So today is Cambodia day, the third country on my travels out of ten! I woke up really excited and packed my bag, buzzing about the day ahead, even if the majority of it would be stuck on a bus! Becky and I paid nam tahn the money for the room and gave her a tip.
