08.06.05 Can't believe this is our last few days in New Zealand! Weird!! We got up a bit later today. Take advantage of any possible lie in we can get!! Then me and Sarah went to look around the shops while Heather and Amy took ages to get out of bed! Managed to get a new bag and a couple of other things. Then we went back to meet the others and caught a bus to Northmall to find Lush for Heather - who has managed to have her photo taken outside every store! I'm a Body Shop girl myself...!! Had a nice time mooching around anyway. In the evening we wandered to a dead Irish bar, so came back to listen to the more lively live band playing in the bar in our hostel. Good for a sing-a-long! 09.06.05 What a cool day. Had to get up (too) early to sort things out, but by 9ish, I was driving me, Heather, Sarah & Amy up to Kaikora in an estate car! (crikey...) It took about 2.5 hours to get there - we had been worried about the weather but it was a beautiful, clear (if cold) day - which meant the dolphin swim went ahead!! We dropped Amy off 1st who went on a whale watch, then Sarah, Heather and I had to get changed into our sexy gear - everything you can imagine! From a 2 layer wetsuit to hat to socks! All to keep us warm in the water. We sailed for about 40 mins - then they stopped the boat and we pilied into the water - there were so many dolphins!! They were wild, so we couldn't touch them and they didn't come that close, but I had about 5 at 1 time swimming within a metre of me! Amazing :) Got loads of pics and videos to show you when I get back! Long drive back and nearly fell asleep! But still in 1 piece. Went out for a meal together (late) as it's my last night! Was really nice :) 10.06.05 Last 1/2 day here - got my flight at 6.20 from Auckland to Sydney to Singapore!! Argh!! :)
