Hello everybody, We are finally at our final destination, Athens. We have not been able to post anything from Mykonos as we have had no time. Mykonos was beautiful. Too bad we did not have much time there. We spent one full day at the beach and the other day wondering around the city. We have taken lots of pictures and when we get home we will be posting them almost all of them into our flickr website. Jano has taken over 1,000 pictures and I have taped so far 7 tapes. We are on our way out to buy another tape as I only have two minutes left of my 7th tape. We are now in Athens as I said earlier. Our hotel is centrally located, close to everything. We walk two or three block and the Acropolis is there. Walk two or three blocks in another direction and we have the parliament building and so on. Perfect place. Lots of shops around us which is nice. Yesterday we spent the whole day walking around the Acropolis area. We left the hotel at 10:45 am and we got back to the hotel around 8 pm to take a quick shower and go back out for dinner. We needed that shower very badly as it is so dry and there is so much dirt around that area that our feet were totally black. Also, yesterday was around 30 degrees celsius, so it was quite hot. It is a miracle not getting sun stroke after walking for that many hours under the sun with not much protection from it. Luckily once in a while there was a little breeze, so we were able to breath a bit. Last night we had such a nice romantic dinner by the Acropolis area. You see that place at night all lit up. It is beautiful. Today is our last day in Athens as we are leaving tomorrow morning at 6 am. It is quite sad that our holiday is coming to an end. We have enjoyed every single moment of it. We have excellent memories of this trip and I will recommend it to everybody. Turkey and Greece have been a great experience so far. I will write from Vancouver once I have uploaded most of the pictures on flickr. See everybody soon!
