This morning started a lot like yesterday morning. I grabbed my laptop and went to the deck with a cup of coffee to blog and watch the sunrise and enjoy the birds. We are out in the country and it is fabulous. I must start the blog today with a bit of tragic news. Sometime during the day I dropped our brand new camera and it bounced off a rock and into the ocean. We managed to fish it out and dry it out and amazingly got it working again but there is a crack in the middle of the lens. We have been enjoying this camera so much and bought it just for this trip. Our plan today was to drink a bottle of champagne on the beach to celebrate Valentine's Day. We had to wait at the house until 10am so we could call Suntravel back to book our stay at Heron Island for next week. Eric and I walked to Umina Beach today and sat for hours reading our books and watching the surfers. We had lunch on the beach and really enjoyed ourselves. The beach is a 15 minute walk from Lesley's and is a scenic stroll along a creek which is home to a variety of ducks, birds and wildfowers.
