hey guys berlin has been awesome these past two days what with the world cup final and all. we saw both the 3rd-4th playoff and the final in treptower park which was packed. we were not fortunate enough to see berlins most famous band the 17 hippies however. also frequented the fan fest area around the brandenberg gate hoping to get on tv... whilst soaking up the football fever of course. last night we went out in hope of gettin a taste of berlins infamous nightlife... we must have been in the wrong area though as it was pretty dire. it was a sunday though so we're hoping for better night in cologne. we've seen all the main sights the reichstag... the gate... tiergarten park...checkpoint charlie... the huge tv tower.... the bundersrat... went down the the holocaust memorial sight this afternoon and got lost in the millions of blocks they've placed in rembrance it was spooky! then just relaxed in tiergarten park this afters. on to cologne on the night train at 12 so will have to find summit to occupy ourselves till then ... sleeping at the railstation probably (hardcore!) oh and we've found the cheapest little restaurant where everythings half price and theyve beer as big as ur head for 2 euros right best be off! hope to speak soon... off to see james blunt whooopppppeeeee sob love debs and phil xxxxx
