I know that I havent updated this blog much recently and I am sorry about that but I have not really been doing anything of great interest to all of you at home. In my mission to save money for Australia I have generally been working 6 days a week leaving pretty much dead on sunday so have just slept.
The weekend of the 18th August I attended an English competition in Khorat with some of my prathom 6 students (12 years old). I have been practicing with these students for weeks so was so nervous for them. They came 9th out of 19 so not best pleased but we decided it was fixed and others agreed as we were the best at the competition and I know that I am biased but we really were very good. I got an evening in another city and had some fun with some brilliant kids anyway so wasnt too bad. I will post some pictures on here at some point but you may have seen some on facebook anyway. I also have a video which I will try and upload then you can really see how good they were.
The weekend of the 25th was spent working at another school about 30km outside of Chaiyaphum. Just extra money for drinking with. Some goods and I just play games with them as it is a saturday and who really wants to go to school on a saturday anyway. Duck duck goose is a favourite of the kids along with bingo. The next day was spent walking in tad tone national park. Had a lovely day and a picnic at the top of a large hill with a view that was out of this world. Unfortunatly no pictures as I forgot to take the camera.
Weekend of the 1st September, after an epic skype session with a hungover miss Claridge I went out for dinner followed up by lots of drinking. With 2 hours sleep I then taught again on Saturday. Another night of drinking with some new friends meant a full day in bed on Sunday. On the plus side, I havent had a good drunken weekend for some time as Jade and I have been trying to be reserved and see the sights of the places we visit rather than drink. However, I have seen the sights of Chaiyaphum and now believe I can drink through them.
I am now on the count down to leaving Chaiyaphum with only 3 weeks left then I get to travel. I am excited to start the next part of my journey, who knows where it will take me or what I will be doing in 2 months time :-).
