We have been in Yuangshuo now for 3 days and have had an excellent time although it has been very cold. This place is very popular with tourists which makes things alot easier because most people speak English. Also there are loads of cafes and bars where there is plenty of choice on the menu. We have met quite a few travellers as well which has been nice. Yesterday after indulging in a full english cooked breakfast for a pound we hired a boat and took a relaxing trip down the river. During the afternoon we chilled out drinking coffee for a few hours before heading out to watch some comerant fishermen at dusk. We hadnt planned to do this but it was a very interesting experience. Today we have been on a cycling tour of the local countryside for 4 hours. This area is very beautiful, I have not seen scenery like this before. We climbed a hill as well as seeing some paddy fields. During the afternoon we took a boat trip up the river to see the most spectacular scenery in the area, which was an excellent experience and very worthwhile. Tomorrow we will be relaxing in cafes and maybe picking up a few souvenirs. We have got a bus booked to the Vietnamese border at 7pm so should be in Hanoi by friday afternoon.
