Quick turns of luck today... first, a great start to the day as we depart beloved Nikko Hotel and head for the airport and Cambodia. I leave my iPhone at the terminal gate as we get onto the shuttle bus.

Call back to terminal from plane on tarmac but nothing found. FEEL SICK.

Spend next hour on the flight going thru the stages of grief about photos and video content I've stupidly lost. Arrive in Siam Reap airport, get our visas and then try to find lost and found to make a report. It's a very intimate little office at SR Airport, where there are like 2 Commodore-style computers and a shelf full of 3-ring binders - straight out of the 1980's. Meet a woman from Hong Kong who is making a report as some airline has just lost ALL her belongings on the journey - yikes. She seems much calmer than I feel. We meet Ratta in charge of Lost and Found and he says "oh yes, just one moment, what colour? I've received word of an iPhone in HCMC"... Will await its arrival on next flight! Can't believe it. Our guide Sophea takes us to the hotel and briefs us about the next day's visit to Angkor Wat. Eager to go, especially now that I have the phone back. Miracles do happen!
