Gday from Sheila & Bruce!

Now arrived in Tasmania, flew from Sydney to Hobart on the 14th, & stayed the 1st evening in the hostel, although it was a Sunday evening, it was only 9pm when Jenni & I went to find some food, man, everything was closed, or more or less, it was like a ghost town! Finally, found a Subway, but nevermind! Went back to the hostel & just chilled for the evening as we had to pick up our campervan the next morning!

Monday 15th, caught the airport shuttle back to the airport & kind driver took us to the campervan place, nice people but a little dim as she dropped us off at the wrong place & was miles from the right place but kind people at the opposition drover us to Devil Campervans & we picked up or new home - or 20 year old one! I had to sign some forms but i'm sure if I had a couple of weeks I could have raed the small print! I drove the van to start, its soo cool I may even buy one to travel in back in the UK. Though, its like driving a bus & could do with power steering but has a fun factor!

We drove back into Hobart & stocked up at the super market then headed off down to ..... I haven't got my map so will fill in another time.

18th January - Jenni drove & we went up the East Coast but the weather was a little overcast today so didn't get to the beach, we went to ..... & had some food then drove to ..... then on to Lauceston where we finally found reception for our phones! We camped our vans at Treasure Island Caravan site & I straight away started to drinnk at a reasonalable time 5pm drank my cheap brut only $5.50 AUS & some beers, then Jenni & I had a tiff! Though, we got a taxi into the city & had some food, pizza again tasted like carboard. Then went to an Irish bar, where some hick band were playing ooh you have to love Tas! Stayed till about 3am then got taxi back.

19th Friday - Decided to stay another night here, also that we don't have enough time so I phoined & extended the campervan for another few days. Had a lazy mrning then went for a walk to the Gorge, which was nice though was a little drizzle. In the afternoon we went into the City & I finally managed to get my haircut it ws doing my head in! & also got access to internet though soo hard to find!
